Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. St. Charles County Recent Arrests does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s policy controls what happens after submission.
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, we retain the message and supplied contact details long enough to respond and manage the exchange. We do not disclose that message outside the organization unless a valid legal requirement compels disclosure.
Technical Data and Cookies
Routine technical records may be created when a page loads. Those records can include:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent;
- the referring website, when available;
- date and time stamps.
Cookies help measure use and support site functions. A browser can reject or remove cookies, although some features may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected data supports ordinary operation and maintenance. It may be used to:
- keep pages available and responsive;
- send a search request to the selected partner;
- understand which resources visitors use;
- diagnose errors and technical problems;
- display advertising that may reflect general interests.
External Sites and Advertising
Links may lead to St. Charles County Corrections, police departments, booking or court systems, government portals, and independent search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s own privacy terms apply. We do not control those policies.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and tailor advertisements. That processing occurs through the provider’s systems, subject to its notices and controls.
Limited Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Data may nevertheless be handled by a small set of parties needed to operate the service:
- search partners that process a submitted query;
- analytics services that measure site use;
- advertising networks that deliver ads;
- law-enforcement or government authorities acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security Measures
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under our control. No internet service, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed breach-proof. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive personal data that is not needed for a reply.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request, a person may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. Browser controls can also limit cookies. These choices do not control records held by St. Charles County, Missouri agencies, courts, or an independent linked provider.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised as services or legal requirements change. An updated version becomes effective when posted here with its new effective date.
